Job Description:
CircleCI is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to negotiate
commercial contracts on its Legal team. The ideal candidate is an
experienced contract manager or paralegal who has experience
working at a SaaS company. This position will primarily support
CircleCI's global Sales team and company-wide procurement efforts.
The Senior Contracts Manager role requires someone who has a high
degree of self-sufficiency but also enjoys being part of a
supportive team that provides sound and timely commercial
transactional support in various areas. CircleCI's Legal team is
small but mighty, handling an expanding work volume common to a
tech environment.This position reports to the Director, Contracts
and Legal Operations.Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with CircleCI's Sales, Customer Success, Deal
Desk, Revenue Accounting, Security and other teams to provide Legal
support for sell-side and buy-side contract documents through
reviewing, redlining, drafting, and finalizing DPAs, NDAs, Order
Forms, and SaaS, Software License, Reseller and Systems Integrator
agreements.
- Work cross-functionally with other internal teams and external
parties to ensure efficient workflow and request management.
- Perform general contract and administrative support, including
cross-functional coordination of legal matters on behalf of the
Legal team, and contract and process management in order to drive
efficiency, collaboration and internal alignment.
- Support the Legal team in meeting its SLAs and OKRs.Experience
& Qualifications:
- College degree, professional certification(s) or equivalent
work experience, and a minimum of 5 years of progressive
experience, preferably at a SaaS or technology company.
- Extended experience with a variety of computer software
applications (Adobe Professional, DocuSign, Google Workspace,
HubSpot, LinkSquares, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom,
etc.).
- Excellent, efficient redlining and ability to defend those
redlines verbally and in writing.
- Advanced issue-spotting and ability to negotiate an equitable
outcome.
- Extended knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA,
etc.).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Organized, proactive, and resourceful self-starter with a
demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing
priorities.
- Ability to recalibrate easily in response to shifting
priorities, process change, and risk tolerance.
- Great, service-oriented interpersonal skills and ability to
handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest
level of discretion and respect.
