Sales is responsible for sales growth and the day-to-day operations
of the travel sales team, ensuring efficiency and high-quality
service delivery. Developing and executing sales strategies to
promote travel bookings and increase market share. The Senior
Director plays a vital role in driving sustainable growth and
member retention within the travel agency.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leadership
- People Leadership: Leads a large, field-based team (150-300
TMs)
- Recruiting, hiring and motivating talent to achieve personal
and professional goals
- Coaches and manages Travel Sales Managers with club goals,
performance feedback, evaluations and performance
documentation
- Ensures each Team Member has an individual development plan and
provides mentorship supporting their growth objectives
- Supports building a performance organization with heart through
efficient performance management, setting clear performance and
career development expectations, and acting on tough performance
issues early with managerial courage
- Acts as a mentor and shares best practice process support for
manager
- Drive strategic sales growth in alignment with the overall
Travel strategy
- Articulate a clear vision for the travel sales division aligned
with the Travel organizations strategic plan.
- Discover and leverage on new market opportunities to drive
growth and profitability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and
competitive landscape to maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage team's performance to compensation plan.
- Collaboration with travel and cross business line teams to
enhance consumer decision-making, fostering partnerships with
stakeholders for alignment with agency and club objectives, and
driving innovation to maintain competitiveness in the market.
- Deliver Travel Service results
- Develops and executes against a business plan managing
strategies that supports
- Travel Service growth as appropriate Analyzes Travel reports,
and internal performance statistics to accurately forecast results
and make quick changes where needed.
- Ensures compliance with AAA policies, procedures, standards and
regulations.
- Steward of all Travel resources and expense budget
compliance.
- Monitor sales performance and KPI and use data to identify
areas of sales improvement, adjust strategies, and drive results to
achieve targets.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the travel sales team
ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
- Develops ideas for additional ways to market the Travel
Services within their region and raises awareness for new
products
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote travel bookings
and increase market share
- Overall responsibility for member satisfaction
- Works to drive new technology adoption among team
- Supports Travel Services and leads special project initiatives
- Supports travel development and processes improvement, often
working on one or more projects for the department
- Plans and directs strategic, operational, and financial
sales-related activities and updates for the SVP Travel, CSO and
CEO
- Able to create, write, and present in-depth business plans,
leveraging financial and sales operations acumenKNOWLEDGE AND

- Extensive experience in the travel industry, with a proven
track record of leadership and strategic planning.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and
financial performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the
ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology and digital tools to
enhance operations and customer experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and
adapt to changing market conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Highly collaborative individual, with excellent communication
skill
- Exceptional judgment and strong interpersonal skills to be
comfortable, effective and persuasive in dealing with employees,
senior management and Board of Directors

- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing or other related fields
plus 8 years of travel industry experience, with an extensive
knowledge of the AAA infrastructure and current trends in the
wholesale, retail and online travel industry to include 2 years of
management experience
- Valid Driver's License

between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are
subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min:
$177,312.00 - Mid: $193,935.00- Max: $210,559.00-
